This philosophical inquiry explores the intrinsic relationship between suffering and joy in human experience. The project investigates whether these seemingly opposing states are fundamentally interconnected or can exist independently.
The project draws from various philosophical traditions including existentialism, stoicism, and contemporary positive psychology to examine how suffering and joy interrelate and shape human consciousness. The analysis considers whether the absence of suffering leads to meaningful joy, and whether joy can exist without acknowledging the reality of suffering.
